Hello

Has anyone heard of Poulenc? The intro to his piano concerto is the most beautiful melody I ever heard. Then there is "Mélancoly" which has several super climaxes. We also have to mention concerto for harpsichord with its nice childish melancholic sound.

French music is so nice... all my favourite composers are French and Japanese.

Aiai, the conductor was Richard Hickox, he died 24 nov 2008 at 60. This is an ode to a great maestro!!!!!!!!

Somehow it reminds me of Saint Saens' Swan lake ballet.

I think Poulenc took the melody from Saint Saens.
